LSU won the SEC Championship by beating Georgia 34-13!!!
How sweet it is... LSU will now be going to the Sugar Bowl to play Oklahoma for the National Title game. Chamila and I left Friday night around 9:45pm and got to Atlanta around 5:30am. We slept for a couple hours at one of his friend's place and then went wondering around town in the cold. If LSU plays like this again in the Sugar Bowl, they will be National Champs. Here's some pictures of our trip...
Here's a nice van we saw in Atlanta.
Here's me at Jock and Jill's.
The outside of the Georgia Dome.
The paper bag was our ice chest. It was cold enough not to need one.
Notice the nice foam effect in the McDonald's cup? They have a no open container law there, so we got some cups to put our beer in.
These guys are everywhere.
Chamila said he didn't want a beer.
Here I am getting my face painted. I really didn't ask for it. This lady walked up and just started painting our faces. I couldn't think of a reason not to do it at the time. Now I know it takes about 3 face washes, a couple layers of skin, and a bench grinder to get the paint off.
I have no idea who this guy is, but we think he was a bum and just partying with all the LSU people.
We didn't know these people either, but it seemed like a good photo opportunity.
This sign was made before the SEC Championship game - so, I guess this girl was called Ms. Cleo and got some good news.
Here's us with our Arby's. I have no idea why we took this picture.
Here we are being rebels and leaning on the wall.
There's a couple Georgia fans that deserve attention.
Whoops... How'd this get in there?
This was the fan day thing we went to. They had a pep rally in here and it was out of the cold and they also sold beer there.
The LSU band was playing and the crowd was going nuts.
The view from our seats.
A zoom of the pregame show.
The normal view of the show.
We think the circled girl is Jill Herrington. If not, she looked good anyways.
Don't ever ask anyone to take a picture of the scoreboard at the end of the game for you. If you want something done, you've got to do it yourself.
After the game party on the field.
More partying.
The lights outside the Georgia Dome.
